This work is a soft textile installation based on the theme of flowers and leaves that survive in the concrete forest (cities).

I chose a total of three flower shapes and two leaf shapes to work with. I first drew out the plant shapes I wanted in Procreate and then decided on a rough final design. The colour scheme was based on the previous one, using as many different shades of wool as possible to show the diversity of the plants. However, due to the limitations of the wool material, the distinction between similar coloured wools was not obvious, so I had to modify the colour scheme while tufting to increase the saturation of the colours and add a colour pattern. 

I was glad that I used Procreate rather than designing on paper, which made it easier for me to make changes as and when the tufting was practical.
