Vietnamese designer, Nguyen Cong Tri, has been working in Haute Couture in Ho Chi Minh City for 20 years.
His inspiration for this collection came from the flower vendors that line the streets near his studio, pushing home-grown tropical flowers. These flower vendors provide a splash of colour to the hustle and bustle of modern Saigon and Hanoi, attracting the attention of busy people.
In this collection, cotton, khaki and PVC are the main materials used to make the clothes, and the predominant colour palette of these materials is light, contrasting with the colourful floral patterns embroidered on the clothes. Each garment has huge hand embroidered flowers that have been carefully hand printed, embroidered and layered to look like flowers in bloom, full of dimension and beauty.
